ShipShape Link Bracelet — Oxidised Argentium & 18K Gold
Design Inspiration
The ShipShape Link series references the massive chains used to anchor cargo ships. These chains are strong, weathered and often bear the visible marks of their manufacture. By translating these industrial forms into jewellery, Nicole explores the relationship between engineering and adornment — transforming something utilitarian into a refined sculptural object.
Materials & Craftsmanship
• Oxidised Argentium silver
• Solid 18 karat gold link
• Hand-fabricated chain links
• Handmade C-clasp closure
The links are fused shut using Argentium silver, allowing the chain to be oxidised evenly and giving it a deeper, more durable finish.
Wear & Styling
Despite its bold appearance, the bracelet is surprisingly lightweight and flexible. The handmade C-clasp allows multiple chains or bracelets to be linked together, allowing the wearer to adjust the length for different outfits. Wear it against dark clothing for a subtle tone-on-tone look, or contrast it with lighter colours for a striking effect. Pairs well with the Shipshape Links Drop Earrings.
