Design Inspiration

The ShipShape Link series references the massive chains used to anchor cargo ships. These chains are strong, weathered and often bear the visible marks of their manufacture. By translating these industrial forms into jewellery, Nicole explores the relationship between engineering and adornment — transforming something utilitarian into a refined sculptural object.

Materials & Craftsmanship

 • Oxidised Argentium silver
 • Hand-fabricated chain links

The links are fused shut using Argentium silver, allowing the hoops to be oxidised evenly and giving them a deeper, more even finish.

Wear & Styling
